Why You Should Live in Buckhead

By far the most talked-about and sought-after neighborhood in Atlanta, Buckhead is one part of the city that will never go out of style. With a consistent ranking among Forbes' top ten wealthiest zip codes and a nickname like "The beverly hills liquor store," you might think Buckhead is only for men who wear five-piece suits and women who carry their dogs in their purses; however, it has an overall appeal and pull that simply can't be overlooked. Buckhead is full of affordable clothing and home furnishings stores and boutiques. It seems like a new antique store pops up every day. Outside of Lenox Square, there are so many shopping options that it makes your head spin. I love strolling through the West Village in Buckhead, looking for treasures in every window I pass. And what's the best part? Many of these stores are locally owned and operated. In times of economic downturn, it's important to consider where you spend your money. Of course, you could go to BCBG Max Azria in Lenox Square, or you could go to Range, a great clothing boutique on East Andrews Dr.

Buckhead is also home to great local restaurants. You can grab a beer at Churchill's, grab a delicious organic soup at Souper Jenny, or get the quintessential Buckhead experience at Buckhead Diner. Nightlife in Buckhead is also great, with classy spots like Beluga and Sambuca Jazz Caf, and since the law on serving alcohol has changed, bars now close at 2:30am instead of 4am. While that may sound boring to some, it's nice for the city's residents to be able to get some sleep whenever they want.

By this point, you may be thinking, "I should come here," but I just can't. Did I mention that Buckhead is the epitome of accessibility? MARTA has three stations there: Lindbergh Center, Lenox Square parking lot and at Peachtree and 400, making your commute much easier.
